Tumblr, I desperately need your help.

This is me and the single most amazing creature of all time AKA my cat, Nikola Tesla, shortly after I adopted him. He likes belly rubs, sitting on my computer while I’m using it, playing fetch, and knocking over glasses of water. He is a mischievous little shit head and I love him with all my heart.


This is Molly Keck, AKA Molly Marlette, a musician I met through mutual friends several years ago. Adorable, right? WRONG. She’s horrible. Like, Cruella DeVille horrible. I left Tesla in her care while I was out of town for an extended period of time, trusting that she would be a responsible guardian for him while I looked for a new place to live. The night I dropped him off at her apartment was the last I’ve seen of either of them.

I have been frantically trying to contact Molly in an effort to be reunited with my cat but she has totally ignored every text message, phone call, voicemail, Facebook message, comment, Instagram comment, and tweet I have sent her. I have contacted mutual friends, her parents, and her band mates in an attempt to get in touch with her, to no avail. And this isn’t an issue of broken phones or any unlucky extenuating circumstances - she has actually BLOCKED me on social media sites. This woman is deliberately avoiding me, like I’ll suddenly forget that she is holding a member of my family hostage. On top of that, she moved during the period I was away, so I have no idea how to find her (people finder websites have been useless).

I can’t begin to explain all the stress, worry, and sadness this has added to my life. Because of serious time constraints surrounding my move I had to leave Los Angeles without Tesla, so now I am in Seattle, over a thousand miles away from where I left him. Maybe she just wants to keep him (not happening, no way) - or maybe he’s hurt, or worse. I have no idea if he’s even alive. Regardless of the situation, I need to know what is going on.

So, beautiful people of Tumblr, I am begging you to repost this and send her a polite message encouraging her to do the right thing. She needs to know that this is totally unacceptable and that this situation will not go away until I have Tesla in my arms, or at least until I know what has happened to him.
